Money is Not the Top Motivator


Is money the top driver of employee satisfaction?  Glassdoor.com did a comprehensive study that showed that culture and values are the most important factor in increasing workplace satisfaction.

So, what is culture and how do you work on it?  Culture is the observable behavior inside a company and although everyone contributes to culture the leaders should set the culture and the culture should run the company. 
To work on culture you need to train leaders on it and that involves working on their soft skills.  Their soft skills need to focus on and reflect the values that everyone can stand behind and live.  Setting values and living the behaviors is key. 

Warning, culture and values take time and are not easy to set and live.  In order to build lasting satisfaction, make your culture and values a top priority – become culture-driven.
